To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, further inspire the patriotism of all employees and pool striving‑forward strength, Hi‑Speed Dejian International Branch organized all staff to watch the red‑themed film Xiao Hua Advances into the Ji‑Lu Border Area on the eve of National Day.
Set against the backdrop of the behind‑enemy‑lines resistance in the Ji‑Lu Border Area during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in 1938, the film tells the story of Xiao Hua, then only 22 years old, who was ordered to lead the East‑Marching Anti‑Japanese Advance Column into the Ji‑Lu Border Area. Faced with a complicated situation where Japanese troops, puppet forces, die‑hard Kuomintang factions and local armed forces were intertwined, Xiao Hua flexibly applied the policy of the Anti‑Japanese National United Front, united progressive local forces and waged armed struggles. He struck the invaders through battles including the three assaults on Dengmingsi, and established and consolidated the Ji‑Lu Border Anti‑Japanese Base Area. The movie depicts the revolutionary story of Eighth Route Army soldiers fighting bloody battles against enemies with the support of the masses.
By watching the film, all employees revisited the fierce combats in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and experienced the fearless spirit of countless revolutionary martyrs. Going forward, all staff will integrate the revolutionary martyrs’ spirit of braving hardships and making dedicated contributions into the construction of overseas projects. They will demonstrate the prowess of Hi‑Speed Dejian through high‑quality project performance and pay tribute to the motherland’s birthday with practical actions.
