On June 10, the main structures of two core functional buildings — the GIS Building and the CCB Central Control Building — of the Saudi Jafurah Cogeneration Project, constructed by Hi-Speed Dejian International Branch, were successfully topped out. This milestone lays a solid foundation for the subsequent full-scale work including electromechanical installation, building decoration and system commissioning.
Located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, the project is a key energy infrastructure supporting the development of the Jafurah natural gas field, with a total floor area of 5,500 square meters. The GIS Building is designed for the installation and operation of power transformation equipment, while the CCB Central Control Building serves as the operation command hub of the project, acting as a vital carrier for follow-up system commissioning and operational management. Upon completion, the project will enable efficient utilization of natural gas resources, supply stable and clean energy for local areas, meet the growing power demand, advance local infrastructure upgrading, and support Saudi Arabia’s low-carbon economic transition.
